For adults who:
  • Want to better understand their money
  • Are unfamiliar with the Canadian banking system
  • Are intimidated by financial institutions and credit
  • Wonder every month where their money is going
  • Want to make good budgeting choices
  • Want to save and save money
  • Feel a little “lost” when faced with new financial products

Practical information

  • Available starting fall 2025
  • Free training
  • Classroom or online workshops
  • Six-week duration (two hours per week)
  • Small groups of no more than 8 people
  • Friendly, relaxed atmosphere
  • No prerequisites required (this is an introduction to financial literacy)
  • Certificate of participation
  • Available to all Nova Scotia residents with a Social Insurance Number
